Intel Core Die Sizes Compared
Recently we delidded the Intel Core i9-10900K and compared its measurements with previous generation of core-CPUs

The CPUs
The 3 CPUs we compared are the
- Core i7-8700K (Coffee Lake)
- Core i9-9900K (Coffee Lake-S)
- Core i9-10900K (Comet Lake-S)
Visual Differences
Even without delidding you can see minor changes to the three compared packages.
Die Sizes Compared
Comparing the 3 CPU-Dies you can see that the 10-Core i9-10900K is the biggest Die. Even though it has 2 more Cores than the i9-9900K, it is only slightly larger than the 9900K compared to the 6-Core 8700K.
Comparing "Heights"
These pictures show the height differences between the 8700K, 9900K and the 10900K.
Comparing The Heatspreaders
These pictures show the differences between the 3 IHSs. Most noticable is the cut top right corner of the 10900K IHS.
